We were up and running with grid-tied solar in June of this year, and so far we have no complaints. Watts Up provided us with a no-nonsense presentation with their best price upfront, which we truly appreciated, as we dealt with multiple pricings and aggressive salesmanship with other companies. Their numbers were detailed in their presentation, and they were very helpful directing us to provincial grants and federal loan opportunities. We also liked that this was a smaller, family-run operation. We felt like an individual client, rather than just a number. James answered all of our questions, including the ones that came after installation and full payment. That in itself creates a strong level of confidence in the company. He indicated that they continue to monitor the results, and can help us out if any troubles should occur. It's a bit difficult to write this review because it's almost impossible to illustrate just how good this company is. My interest in solar began with a friend/employee of mine mentioning this particular company to me probably 5 years ago. I found the system performance data on their website interesting enough to visit the site time and time again over the years. They used to have a design it yourself portion of the site which allowed you to input data for your site and try different panels etc. I suspect they took that part of it down as one needed to be fairly knowledgeable about what they were doing to input the variables correctly. Now they send you out a personalized proposal including system equipment and a pic of the panels superimposed onto a sat pic of your property, which probably works better for most customers. I began exploring getting solar more earnestly about a year and a half ago, and Watts Up were the only company I received proposals from (I was looking at doing solar on 3 different properties I own). I had a couple of convo's with the company owner (Michael), who was very happy to lend me his time and knowledge as well as his son James. Even though they had all of my contact info, I received no phone calls or emails hounding me to do anything after they had my info, which was much appreciated. I had tried calling Polaron and they immediately began hounding me with telemarketer like agents to the extent that I never ever called them back. I tried calling Sunkissed (because they were more local to us) and received no reply. Anyways, Watts Up answered every question I ever had and left me to making the decision on my own (which was what I desired), up until it was important that they did contact me. James called me out of the blue one afternoon with the information that a very important rebate program which was available for my commercial project was about to end in 48 hours or so. He was making an effort to contact everyone who was recently looking for commercial installs from them to ensure we didn't miss out. In my case, this phone call was worth almost $10,000 as we were looking to do a larger install. I also had it on my list to get going on the commercial project at that same point, so his timing was impeccable. The sales model at Watts Up gelled very well with me as it's exactly the same way I run my own business. I will lend every bit of my 25 years of knowledge in my industry to a customer, quote them, and never "bother" them again unless something important comes up which I feel the customer needs to know. In looking around at the reviews of other Solar companies out there, I see how getting solar can go so very wrong for folks who aren't lucky enough to land on Watt's Up doorstep. I've actually seen google review replies in which the owner of an established competitor appeared to paint a picture of someone having to sign multiple financing deals and release all the money to them before they ever set foot on the customers property as being "normal". This is NOT normal. This is what occurs in most industries when you're dealing with someone who isn't established enough to do your job and/or is about 5 minutes from disappearing/bankruptcy. I experienced none of this with Watts Up. Lastly, the actual install. Their lead installer Stewart was really good at his job and capable of carrying on an intelligent conversation about almost anything. The electrical work was second to none (and I know a fair bit about electrical) and very "clean" work. I couldn't have asked for better. As I said at the start, where do I start and end about this company. My system has been installed for 4 months now and I still love looking at my own data on the ap for my system and comparing it to other systems on the Watts Up website. All I can say is keep up the phenomenal work!

Dear Watts Up Solar Team, It is not often these days that expectations are met, let alone exceeded, but that has been our experience with your company. My wife and I began our solar journey in August, and after contacting multiple suppliers, we were disappointed by the lack of personal engagement. Every other company attempted to lock down our business with a proposal without ever visiting our property. Watts Up Solar was the only company that took a different approach. James, one of the owners, visited us personally to assess our needs and used a drone to identify any potential obstacles to performance. He addressed all of our concerns regarding our complex setup, which involved backhauling power from our garage to our house. Despite the added complexity, James assured us it would work, and he was right. A week after moving forward, we met our Project Manager, Stewart. Stewart installed, racked, and wired our entire system on his own with meticulous attention to detail. His work was so professional that the sign-off from Nova Scotia Power took only minutes to complete. Our system has been running since mid-September. When we encountered one minor issue, it was addressed and resolved promptly over a weekend. This has been an outstanding experience from start to finish. Five stars!

We had our solar panel system installed this summer by Watts Up Solar Ltd and were extremely pleased. From the quote to the friendly installers and the assistance with applications we found the process very smooth and professional. We had been approached by others that promised the moon and did not seem to have a real grasp of what was realistic. Tom Rendle Director of Watts Up was very forthright and stated what we might realistically expect and why. We have had no problems after the fact and am enjoying the system .We also have confidence in Watts UP if we have a question. We have referred them to friends who are also having a good experience. Honest and professional seem to be their way of doing things.

We met with Jamie Rendle last September and, after receiving our proposal, we decided to go with a spring install. In late March Jamie contacted us that we were on the list to get our racking/inverters and everything went so smoothly. The men doing the work were friendly and efficient and the whole process went so smoothly. We had chosen Watts Up Solar based on our friends great review and we were not disappointed. We can't say enough about this positive experience from Jamie to the electricians, to the installers and to Tom Rendle. We are happily tracking our production on the app. and couldn't be more thrilled to go solar!
