Efficiency Nova Scotia's SolarHomes Rebate is a program that provides homeowners with a rebate of up to $3,000 to help make their homes more energy-efficient. The rebate is available for residential homes installing PV solar in Nova Scotia.

Eligibility Requirements


  • Must be a residential property in Nova Scotia
  • Must own the property or have permission from the owner
  • Installation must be completed by an approved solar installer
  • System must be grid-connected
  • Property must be your primary residence or a seasonal property

How to Apply

Pre-approval application process

1. Pre-Approval

We'll submit your application to Efficiency Nova Scotia before starting your installation

  • Sign the application form,
  • We will complete and submit the application for you,
  • You will be copied on all communications between ourselves and ENS.

2. Installation

We'll get to work installing your system

  • We take care of all the permits and approvals,
  • We install your system and schedule your electrical inspections,
  • We organize and submit all follow up paperwork on your behalf,
Final documentation submission

3. Final Submission

We submit all final documentation required for you to receive your rebate

  • Our team submits all required photos and documentation,
  • Optionally sign your rebate over to us and well deduct it from your final invoice,
